The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Bulgaria has begun publishing thematic online compilations of its case law. These structured legal publications complement the institutional content available on the Court’s website and form part of the initiatives marking the Court’s 35th anniversary in 2026.
The goal is to provide thematic access for comprehensive reference and review of a specific issue on which the Constitutional Court has ruled.
The collections will be published on the CC’s official website, in the “Publications” section, under the “Collections of Constitutional Court Case Law” subsection: https://www.constcourt.bg/bg/collection-practice
The first edition is dedicated to the topic “Right to Defense” and is now available online: https://www.constcourt.bg/content/practice/202026.pdf
The 213-page volume compiles the relevant reasoning from both interpretative decisions and decisions declaring laws and other acts unconstitutional, from the establishment of the Constitutional Court through 2025.
The collections will be periodically updated with the Court’s most recent case law on the relevant topic.
