Constitutional Court Judge Anastas Anastasov, whose mandate had expired, has passed away

The Constitutional Court sadly announces the passing of Anastas Anastasov, judge at the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Bulgaria from 2012 to 2021.
Anastas Anastasov was born on October 10, 1965, in Yambol. He graduated from the Higher Institute of the Ministry of Interior in 1990. From 1991 to 1996, he was a junior prosecutor and prosecutor at the District Prosecutor's Office in Yambol, and from 2000 to 2009, he was the chair of the District Court in Yambol.
He was elected as a member of the 41st National Assembly and served as Deputy Speaker of Parliament from 2010 to 2012.
He was elected as a judge of the Constitutional Court by the 41st National Assembly in 2012.
