On August 20, the President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Bulgaria, Ms. Pavlina Panova, held a meeting with Her Excellency Irene Maria Plank, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany.
During the meeting, the active international activity of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Bulgaria was discussed.
Highlights of the conversation included the upcoming international conference "EUnited in Diversity" III which will be held in Sofia from September 3 to 5, as well as the preparations for the forthcoming visit of the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany to Bulgaria at the end of November.
The case law of the Constitutional Courts of both countries was also discussed.
Participants in the meeting included Dr. Frederik Hanke, Deputy Head of Mission, and Mr. Dimitar Stanishev from the Embassy's Politics and Protocol Department. The Bulgarian delegation included Professor Sasho Penov, Constitutional Court Judge, and Mr. Valentin Georgiev, Secretary-General of the Constitutional Court.
