The Secretary General of the Constitutional Court of Bulgaria Re-elected Co-chair of the Joint Council on Constitutional Justice (JCCJ)

The Secretary General of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr Valentin Georgiev, was re-elected as a co-chair of the Joint Council on Constitutional Justice (JCCJ) of the Venice Commission during the 21st annual meeting of JCCJ. For the next two years Georgiev will chair the Joint Council together with the President of the Constitutional Court of Austria, Dr. Christoph Grabenwarter.

The 21st Meeting of the Joint Council on Constitutional Justice took place on 14-15 November 2024 in Yerevan and was hosted by the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia.

In the framework of the meeting, a mini-conference was held with the topic “Respect for the Decisions of Constitutional Courts”. Mr Georgiev was invited to moderate the second panel of the conference named “Ways of Implementation of the Decisions of Constitutional Courts”.
