At its sitting on 05.02.2026 the Constitutional Court admitted for consideration on the merits the request of the Varna Court of Appeal to establish the unconstitutionality of Article 173, paragraph 15 of the Judiciary Act (published in State Gazette No. 6 of 2025, effective as of January 21, 2025).
Twelve constitutional judges participated in the sitting.
The Resolution was adopted with 9 votes in favor and with dissenting opinion from Judges Nadezhda Dzhelepova, Desislava Atanasova, and Orlin Kolev.
