At its sitting on August 4, 2026, the Constitutional Court admitted Constitutional Case No. 15/2026 and Constitutional Case No. 16/2026 for consideration on the merits, as reported by Judge Sonya Yankulova.
The subject matter of both proceedings, initiated by two separate petitions from groups of members of the 52nd National Assembly, is to establish the unconstitutionality of the Law on the State Budget of the Republic of Bulgaria for 2026. Therefore, the Court finds that there is a connection between the two cases and consolidates them for joint consideration, which will proceed under Constitutional Case No. 15/2026.
All 12 constitutional judges participated in the sitting.
The Rulings were adopted unanimously.
