At its sitting on 28 April 2026, the Constitutional Court admitted for consideration on the merits the request of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Bulgaria to declare unconstitutional the Decision obliging the Council of Ministers to submit to the National Assembly a Draft Law on the ratification of the accession of the Republic of Bulgaria as a founding state to the Charter of the Board of Peace, established at the initiative of the United States, adopted by the National Assembly on March 13, 2026 (published in the State Gazette, No. 28 of 2026).
All 12 constitutional judges participated in the sitting.
The ruling was adopted unanimously.
