At its sitting on 07.04.2026, the Constitutional Court ruled on Constitutional Case No. 2/2026, reported by Justice Yanaki Stoilov.
The Court rejected the request by a panel of the Varna Court of Appeals to declare unconstitutional Article 173, paragraph 15 of the Judiciary Act (the provision, published in the State Gazette, Issue 6 of 2025, effective as of January 21, 2025).
All twelve constitutional judges participated in the hearing.
The Decision was signed with concurring opinions by the judges Pavlina Panova, Atanas Semov, Yanaki Stoilov, Sonya Yankulova, and Borislav Belazelkov.
