Today, January 20, 2026, the Constitutional Court initiated constitutional case No. 2/2026 at the request of the judicial panel of the Varna Court of Appeal to establish the unconstitutionality of Article 173, paragraph 15 of the Judiciary Act (published in State Gazette No. 6/2025, effective as of 21 January 2025).
The rapporteur for the case is Judge Yanaky Stoilov.
