Today, 22 December 2025, the Constitutional Court initiated constitutional case No. 21/2025 at the request of 51 members of the 51st National Assembly to establish the unconstitutionality of the National Assembly's decision not to adopt a resolution rejecting the proposal to hold a national referendum on the question "Do you agree that Bulgaria should introduce the single European currency, the euro, in 2026?", submitted by the President of the Republic of Bulgaria on May 12, 2025, voted on December 3, 2025, and published in State Gazette No. 104/2025.
The rapporteur for the case is Judge Atanas Semov.
