Today, 07.11.2025, the Constitutional Court initiated constitutional case No. 15/2025 at the request of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Bulgaria to establish the unconstitutionality of Article 147, paragraph 9a of the Road Traffic Act (RTA) (published in State Gazette No. 20/1999, last amended and supplemented in State Gazette No. 64/2025) as contrary to Article 4, paragraph 1, Article 16, Article 48, paragraph 1, Article 17, paragraphs 1 and 3, and Article 35, paragraph 1 of the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria.
The rapporteur for the case is Judge Nevin Feti.
